At Active Integrative Medicine our focus is on understanding you and your health story. We treat people, not problems. Through better communication, better access to providers, and eliminating the unnecessary road blocks of insurance, we are getting back to the roots of healthcare. Think of us like the small town doctors your grandparents were used to. We work for you, rather than having a middleman insurance company. Many insurance-based doctors care for thousands of patients. We only care for a few hundred. By keeping our practice small we have time to work around your needs and your schedule. At Active Integrative Medicine our aim is to provide exceptional care by forming lasting relationships with our patients and their families.

+ How can a membership cost so little?

Surprisingly, this works! When you cut out the bureaucratic costs of insurance and the extra office staff it requires, you get better healthcare at a lower rate. Our members make this model sustainable, and we work to keep their costs low. Our goal is to keep you well and prevent avoidable health expenses, so you can do the things you love.

+ How can a membership cost so much?

A membership with Active Integrative Medicine is more than just seeing your doctor. We are your one-stop shop. For the price of a monthly gym membership, you get access to a healthcare team who will be stewards of your wellbeing and a sounding board for your concerns. Creating health is a process. We will be spending time with you when you are well, not just sick, to help you achieve the life you want to live.

Simply put, you get access, when and where you need it. Your membership covers email, phone, video chat, in person visits, and hands-on therapies to help restore your active life.

+ Are your membership plans insurance?

Our membership plans are not insurance.

+ Do you take Insurance?

As a Direct Primary Care clinic we are not contracted with insurance companies. For non-members, fee-for-service visits are offered.

+ As a member do I still need insurance?

Active Integrative Medicine does not accept or bill insurance. Direct Primary Care is not insurance and works best when combined with a major health insurance plan. This way you are covered if something happens outside of our scope (medical imaging, speciality care, ER visits, hospitalizations, major trauma, etc). We understand that insurance can be confusing, so feel free to call us and we’ll walk you through it!

+ How do I enroll?

Click the "Become A Member" button on any of our pages or go to the "Services" link at the top of this page and click on "Become A Member". You'll find a step-by-step path to signing up. + Are medications included?

Medications are covered by your insurance plan if you have one, or your own out of pocket expenses if you don't. We can certainly help connect you with low cost options if this is an issue. We do offer a range of supplements at discounted prices for our members.

+ Will my membership cover hospital visits?

No, your membership only covers services at Active Integrative Medicine within the scope of our patient agreement.

+ Is there a contract or minimum length of membership?

Our practice model is built upon forming lasting relationships with our patients, so while we would love to avoid it, you can absolutely cancel your membership at any time and for any reason by giving 30-days advanced written notice.

+ Is there a limit to how many times I can see the doctor?

We want you to feel healthy and heard, and expect that patients will schedule with us as often as is medically necessary.

+ Do I pay each time I see the doctor?

No, your membership includes those services specified in the Patient Agreement and within the scope of our practice.

+ How do I pay for my membership?

There are many ways to pay for your membership. Patients may pay for an annual membership upfront and in-full for a discount. We also accept payments in monthly or quarterly installments. Our clinic uses an automated payment system, which automatically processes payments on a scheduled and recurring basis.
